SCULPTURES |
An education as a dental technician brought Manfred Szeszka the inspiration ànd the skills that enabled him to experiment fully with the materials that give an extra dimension to his sculptures.
In this way he achieves the most surprising effects with colours and shapes. Consequently his sculptures breathe an amazing authenticity. This undeniable personal style is not only created by a combination of different materials but also by the authentic way in which the sculptor works: Manfred gets touched by a shape (mostly in nature) and uses this as a starting point. His work ends only when the result, both the sculpture and the completely integrated pedestal, has become a whole and can be viewed from all directions. As well as in his paintings, chance plays an important role in his three-dimensional works of art,. It forces Manfred to intervene constantly, to modify and to keep things under control. It is an exciting process/struggle with always a fascinating result. |
